NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - On Saturday, November 25, New Providence will come alive with the kick-off to the holiday shopping season with Small Business Saturday and a visit from the big guy himself. Santa is making a special stop to New Providence for photos in the gazebo at Centennial Park from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

Started in 2010 by American Express, Small Business Saturday encourages people to get out and visit locally-owned-and-operated retailers. It is the hope that Small Business Saturday will encourage people to shop locally throughout the entire holiday season.

While shops and restaurants will be hosting their own shop local specials and offers, 30 New Providence businesses have signed on to participate in the Small Business Saturday Shop NP incentive raffle, presented by the New Providence Business Community.
