NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ -- The New Providence girls basketball team faced its toughest test yet, but held off a fourth-quarter rally by Union Catholic to remain undefeated with a 51-47 victory Tuesday night.

Junior guard Lindsay Kinum scored 16 points, handed out three assists and grabbed three rebounds for the Pioneers (11-0), who established a 30-18 halftime lead.

Junior guard Amy Maurer had 11 points and three assists and senior guard Kaitlyn Cumiskey went for 10 points and three assists for New Providence, which took a 41-28 lead into the final quarter before Union Catholic closed with a rush.

Meghan Lamanna finished with team-highs of eight rebounds and four assists to go with seven points for New Providence, and Amy Boyle gathered seven rebounds in the victory.
