The Training Mistake That Might Be Killing Your Results

Training hard helps you lose fat. Not a big surprise right?

But many people make a critical mistake that keeps them from seeing the real results they deserve:

They keep doing the same thing over and over... and they STOP making progress.

After about 4 weeks of training, your body will get used to what you’re doing. The exercises that used to be hard are getting easy, so your results start plateauing.

(This is why we change your strength program at GFP every few weeks - we don’t want to give your body the chance to adapt!)

But here's the real problem: It’s not just about changing exercises, either. Your body quickly adapts to new movements.

So what's the secret to consistent progress? Tracking your intensity!

When it comes to lifting weights, this is simple.  To make it harder, just add more weight, more reps, more sets, or do more work in the same amount of time.  This is known as 'progressive overload' in the training world.

But cardio is a little different…

When doing high intensity intervals (like our Fat Blast program), there are no weights to add. This makes it tough to know how hard to work.

And just like your muscles adapt to training, so does your cardio system.  

You also can’t just work out longer or decrease rest without hurting the qualityof the workout.  

So, how do you know you’re working hard enough to see results, without overdoing it? Simple: Here at GFP, we use a system called MyZone. 

MyZone gives you instant feedback, so you know if you're  pushing yourself hard enough. You can increase or decrease your effort by looking at your score on the board. 

The coaches at GFP can also track every single workout you do. This lets us hold you accountable and tweak your program if you're not seeing the results you want.
