Volunteer Pizza Party – 7pm

Thank you teen volunteers for making our Summer Reading Club a success!  For Summer Reading Club volunteers who contributed 20 or more hours – enjoy the party!

TUESDAY, AUGUST 21

The Actor’s Craft – 7 pm to 8:30 pm

Tuesdays, July 17 & 31; August 7, 14 & 21

Learn the craft of acting from Bill Sorvino of the celebrated Sorvino acting family.  Students will learn the basics of the Meisner method.  They will gain basic skills, knowledge and experience in the craft of acting for stage and screen.  Once the skills are formed, there will be scene work culminating in a showcase performance for the students who have attended all classes.  This is the last class of the series.

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 22

Paint Your Pet’s Portrait Art Class – 7 to 9 pm

Registration required.  Limit:  10 participants

Professional artist Erica Pizza will teach you how to paint your pet’s portrait.  Please be sure to bring a large color photo of your pet.  There is a $10 charge payable in cash the night of the program to cover the cost of paint and canvas.

Cinema214: Mamma Mia! (PG-13, 108 min.) – 7 pm

 Longing to discover the identity of her true father before she exchanges her wedding vows, the daughter of a once-rebellious single mother secretly invites a trio of paternal candidates to her upcoming wedding in this feature adaptation of the beloved stage musical.  Join us for this fun throwback musical film (#2 currently in theaters)!  Refreshments will be served.  Sponsored by Friends of the Library
