New Providence Recreation is accepting registrations for adult evening and daytime programs that run June 25th – August 31st. Most of the eight to nine-week sessions are under $65; several programs are free for NP residents! All levels of fitness and those returning to exercise are welcome.
Programs are offered starting at 6 a.m.. If you are seeking weight loss, core body strength and a toned physique, “Early A.M. Fitness Challenge” with Mike Czech provides a high-intensity workout. This outdoor class is designed to help increase metabolism & energy level. Other morning programs begin at 9 a.m. and include Zumba and yoga.
In the evening, “Mix It Up! Exercise” is offered at 7 p.m. twice a week. Instructor Cyndi Giordano varies her program and uses hand weights and bands to encourage you to greater fitness. Newcomers are welcome. Yoga with Judy Parenti or Shirley Fee is offered on Tuesday & Wednesday evenings as well Wednesday & Friday mornings; both instructors will work with newcomers as well as seasoned yogis.
On the weekend, enjoy a friendly game of table tennis with instructor Howard Lee. All levels are welcome and equipment is provided. In addition, Foundation Tennis is being offered on Saturday mornings targeting beginners and those with some experience to the fundamentals of tennis.
