Essential Hatha Yoga

Essential Hatha Yoga is a traditional yoga class focusing on holding the poses (asanas) . The poses  are held anywhere from 5 to 10 breaths. Holding the poses this length of time greatly increases flexibility and strength while enhancing overall posture. This class is taught in a noncompetitive environment and is designed to encourage each student to know and appreciate their own body through yoga. Using breath-work and yoga postures (with modifications as needed) the goal of each class is to gently strengthen and increase flexibility in the body while exploring the connections between mind, body, and spirit. This class can have a gentle flowing movement to it. Each class will include reclining, seated, standing and kneeling poses. You will walk away from this class with a relaxed, healthy body and a sense of well-being. Learn yoga in class -- take it off the mat -- and bring it into all aspects of your life.

Sleep out at Covenant House

June 18, 2018

I can enjoy the same movies over and over like it were the first time to see them.  My kids roll their eyes at this.  Well, many unimaginable things happen as you become a certain age, and you tend to learn to accept those things graciously as gift.   But I remember the movie “The Blind Side.”  Until I saw that movie, I didn’t know homeless children ...

What's Hot and What's Not

Under-enroll?  What application materials were useful to them?  Which were redundant or time ...
