Sophie M. Martinides passed away peacefully from a year-long battle with lung cancer on June 21st, 2019 at the age of 78. She lived in Madison, CT and was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ by her parents Louise and Frank Krupa.

Sophie had a fond love for the ocean and helping others. She always worked to connect and help others in her professions in fashion, retail and paralegal work throughout her life. Her greatest love was for her family. She was survived by her beloved children, Tiffany Lynn and Lisa Golloher, who were the light of her life and dear sister of Susan DeLuca. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald J. Martinides. She retired in Madison, CT in 2004 to create a place where her family could come and be together by the water. Many years of loving memories were spent in Madison with her family that will not be forgotten. She was a beautiful and kind-hearted lady and will be deeply missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Tuesday, August 13th, 2019 at 11:30am DIRECTLY in St. Teresa’s Cemetery, 136 Passaic Avenue, Summit, NJ 07901.

In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations in Sophie’s memory to the Connecticut Cancer Foundation to help families in need fighting cancer and cancer research at www.ctcancerfoundation.org
