NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - Asbury Fever rocked the gazebo at Centennial Park Thursday evening and dancers moved and grooved to the music of Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny and the sounds of the Jersey Shore not just in front of the gazebo, but even on the grass and, occasionally in the street!

Asbury Fever, which bills itself as the "#1 Bruce Springsteen Tribute Band in NJ!" seemed to know exactly the right songs to get people up and moving. From youngsters to senior citizens, there was always a crowd in front of the gazebo. In the meantime, the Lions Club members served up the free hot dogs provided by Prestige Diner, two to a customer, and Zita's Homemade Ice Cream scooped up lots if Italian ice!  Acme had lots of water on hand for everyone who needed it.

The concert series ended on Tuesday, Aug. 6, during National Night Out. The four-concert series, which was presented by New Providence Business, featured a face painter and magician to entertain the kids, along with free hot dogs provided by Prestige Diner [served by the New Providence Lions Club], water provided by Acme, and ice cream from Zita’s Homemade Ice Cream for all to enjoy.
