NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - This Friday, December 6th at 7 p.m. is the annual New Providence Diversity Committee “Night of a Thousand Stars” community tree lighting event in Centennial Park in New Providence. 

This fun, free heartwarming community event is for family, friends, and neighbors celebrating the holiday season.

Free hot cocoa donated by the Prestige Diner and served by our New Providence Lions. Live entertainment by The Edelweiss Choir, the Elefante School of Music, our NPHS select choir, a special visit from LaBefana (a cherished Italian holiday tradition who rewards good children with special treats). Santa may stop by and some other NEW wonderful surprises!

Dress warmly and come join family,  friends, and neighbors for this magical outdoor evening holiday celebration of community. 

Become a “STAR” in the community by donating a gift card or donation of any amount at our Community Service Association (CSA) table at the event and get a star ornament in exchange that you may decorate and hang on our community tree in the pavilion. The Community Service Association of New Providence which helps our local families in need. All contributions collected are given back 100% to our community families in need, so feel great knowing that your contributions are helping your friends and neighbors right here in our own community.

In case of inclement weather, this community tree lighting event will be indoors at the municipal center on Academy Street adjacent to Centennial Park.
