BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ -- Last week the annual Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel took place at Mt. Carmel Field in the township. It began with the annual processional parade featuring the Blessed Mother statue and music at 8 a.m. on July 16. After a short mass at Little Flower Church, many gathered for a free picnic at noon at Peppertown Park, another annual event.
The fair opened at 6 p.m. on July 16 and concluded with the annual fireworks extravaganza that night. Festivities continued through Saturday, July 20, with live entertainment each evening. A family friendly fireworks display concluded the event.
