NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ - The COVID-19 pandemic has businesses across the borough shuttered and facing uncertainty like none we've experienced in our lifetimes. While restaurants, eateries and some essential businesses still operate with takeout or delivery; exercise studios, retail storefronts, and service type businesses are revamping their online presence to easily make their services available to the consumers.

Everybody who can is stepping up to provide support to businesses being negatively impacted by the stay-at-home orders. FLAG New Providence volunteer group is raising funds to purchase meals from local eateries to feed the frontline healthcare workers -- gyms are providing virtual workouts, realtors are showing homes through virtual tours -- a local tailor turned his store into mask factory, and store fronts and salons are selling through e-commerce with curbside pick-up or delivery. Purchase a gift card for future use. Give them a call!

We all are pining for the time to get back out to patronize our favorite businesses, but until then -- stay connected through the information provided by TAPinto New Providence, New Providence Business Community and Facebook shout-outs. Now you can explore featured businesses through our Covid-19 Business Directorypdf
