Nice Place. Nice People. New Providence.
These few words, known by our community as our town “motto”, evoke in me a sense of both gratitude and responsibility--gratitude for having lived and raised my family in New Providence; and a responsibility to engage in pursuits that will keep this town worthy of its motto.
To that end, this November 5th, I will cast my vote for John FX Keane for Borough Council.
You may not know John Keane personally, but you, like me, are one of the many beneficiaries of his decades-long commitment to our town: Ten years on the Planning Board, where he currently serves as Vice Chairman; treasurer of the Downtown Improvement District since its inception in 2006; five years on the Economic Development Committee; fifteen years on the Recreation Board; and, many years as a volunteer with the Boy Scouts and the NPHS Marching Band.
John’s expertise and his vision have been sought after commodities both in his volunteer life here at home and throughout his 40+ year career in the banking industry. Serving as senior vice president with JP Morgan Chase Bank and Citibank, John has broad experience in managing and growing financial portfolios upwards of $500 million.
Nice towns do not come about by accident. Nice towns are the result of the efforts of those who selflessly dedicate their time, share their vision and collaborate for the benefit of everyone. John has proven to be one of those people time and again.
I hope you will join me in electing John FX Keane to our Borough Council on November 5th.
