More than 235 hourly staff members received a gift.
Residents of Lantern Hill, an Erickson Living retirement community in New Providence, New Jersey, raised $110,296 for the community’s Staff Appreciation Fund. The campaign was launched to provide a way for residents to show their gratitude to non-management hourly employees on campus.
On December 10, Lantern Hill hosted a Staff Appreciation Fund celebration where residents were able to express their appreciation toward employees and help distribute donated funds to each eligible employee. At Lantern Hill, eligible employees may include the community's wait staff, dining associates, security officers, communication and administrative staff, banquet servers, maintenance workers, culinary team, housekeepers, Certified Medical Assistants, and Certified Nursing Assistants, totaling 238 staff members
At the festive event, employees also had the opportunity to write thank you notes to the residents for their generosity on a poster board, which is currently on display at the community.
“Thank you to our residents for their generosity and for recognizing the hard work that our employees do to make Lantern Hill a great place to live and work," said Human Resources Director Suson Tillman-Taylor. “The fund is a fantastic opportunity for residents to give a gift to the employees who mean so much to them all year.”
