SUMMIT, NJ - HOPE and GRATITUDE are more contagious than any virus! The Overlook Auxiliary invites you to join us in the movement to spread hope and gratitude while supporting Overlook Medical Center by purchasing a Hope & Gratitude lawn sign for $25.

Overlook Medical Center urgently needs a new XENEX sterilization machine that can sanitize a room in 20 minutes. This device costs $90,000 and, if we band together as a community to show our appreciation for our healthcare and essential workers, we can make this purchase possible.

Each Hope & Gratitude lawn sign, which can be purchased for $25, will serve as a reminder to all of your neighbors that we are in this together and will acknowledge the incredible contributions of healthcare and essential workers to our community during this crisis.  Our volunteers will deliver your lawn sign to your doorstep. All of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards purchasing a XENEX sterilization machine for Overlook Medical Center. Additional donations to help fund this needed device are welcome.

The Overlook Auxiliary would like to thank Scott Hale of STH Printing in New Providence for his designs and The UPS Store in downtown Summit for sign printing.  Without their generous contributions, this project would not be possible. Both are great local small businesses to support. We would also like to congratulate Zoe Berliner, Age 9 from Summit, and Ashleigh Andrews, Age 11 of Millburn, on their winning artwork submissions.

The Overlook Auxiliary is also pleased to partner with community residents Deb Meslar of Summit, Maria DeLuca and Amy Lepre of New Providence who presented this idea to us. We are truly grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this time. Every contribution makes a difference.

About the Overlook Auxiliary:  Founded in 1916, the Overlook Auxiliary is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization cultivating a compassionate and comforting environment throughout the entire Overlook Medical Center community with active volunteering and imaginative fundraising.   With over 250 active members, the Auxiliary supports important Medical Center programs like the Breast Center at Overlook, the Pediatric Eating Disorder Center (the only one of its kind on the Eastern seaboard), Atlantic Hospice, Family Medicine, the Oncology Center, and other community organizations like Health Start (an agency with a location at the Overlook campus) and Camp Clover (a camp for children who have suffered loss).  We also fund annual nursing scholarships for deserving candidates and have contributed funding for large projects including the Caregiver's Center, the Emergency Department and the Pediatric Playroom.  The Auxiliary also runs a biennial Kitchen Tour which features several of the area's fabulous, private kitchens. Like our founders, we believe that a strong Overlook Medical Center anchors our strong Summit community.
