BASKING RIDGE, NJ - Felowship Senior Living's President and Ceo, Brian Lawrence, and Director of Clinical Operation, Laura Sharp, received the prestigious LeadingAge New Jersey Award and were honored at a ceremony at The Boathouse at Mercer Lake in West Windsor.
LeadingAge New Jersey members are forging the way in providing outstanding care and services to New Jersey’s seniors and the Awards Program is a great opportunity to recognize the people in our communities who are making a difference in the lives of residents, colleagues, and their local community.
Sharp, of Tewksbury, was presented with the 2019 LeadingAge New Jersey Professional Advancement Award. This award is given to individuals who have assumed progressive leadership responsibilities within a LeadingAge New Jersey member organization, and have worked to build a shared vision, develop robust relationships, and enhance organizational capacity.
Jack Ellias, Vice President of Health Services presented the award and said, “If you Google the word 'professional,' you would see Laura’s name next to it. You would also find class, commitment and clinical. Since Laura has been with our team, she has taken us to a new level of service. Laura embraced the challenges of achieving lower length of stays, lower re-hospitalizations and higher quality of care. She worked with our clinical team which has resulted in Fellowship being in the top three high performing networks. Besides her accomplishments, what separates Laura from the others is her commitment to excellence.”
Lawrence, of Millburn, was honored with the 2019 LeadingAge New Jersey President’s Award. This highly coveted award, which recognizes a distinguished career of service and achievement in the field of aging, is only bestowed periodically.
“Brian’s achievements at Fellowship Senior Living have been remarkable, culminating in the opening of the Fellowship Cultural Arts Center this year,” said James McCracken, President & CEO of LeadingAge New Jersey. “Fellowship Senior Living is not a status quo organization. Whether it’s implementing a Household Model of Care, expanding into Home and Community Based Services, developing a robust medical group, creating a strong philanthropy program or strengthening bonds with the local community, your culture of hospitality and spirit of service are infectious. Needless to say, it’s apparent to me that your career and your personal life move in tandem as you maintain high quality standards and are constantly looking to grow. You display an extremely high level of commitment to mission and live a life dedicated to service. You touch the lives of many. “
Lawrence thoughtfully responded, “I could not have done this alone. On stage, it is me who is receiving this award, but it truly goes to all the people who have enabled me to make so many amazing changes to benefit and meet the needs of seniors throughout New Jersey. Our collective team efforts have resulted in such incredible results, and it is a great achievement of each individual team member of Fellowship Senior Living.”
