NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ -- Undefeated New Providence built an 18-point halftime lead on its way to a 57-28 girls basketball victory over Arthur L. Johnson High School on Friday.

Freshman point guard Meghan Lamanna scored 19 points and came up with four steals for the Pioneers (6-0), who took a 20-12 lead after a quarter and were ahead, 34-16, at the half.

Senior guard Kaitlyn Cumiskey finished with 10 points and five assists and also came up with four steals and three rebounds for New Providence, which won decisively despite not making a single foul shot. The Pioneers hit 27 shots from the floor, including three 3-pointers (all by Lamanna).

Lindsay Kinum totaled eight points, five rebounds and four assists, Amy Maurer led New Providence in assists with five, and Grace Kelly cleared a team-high six rebounds to go with eight points in the win.
