JERSEY CITY, NJ -- Grace Kelly scored 15 points and came down with nine rebounds to lift New Providence to a 56-30 girls basketball victory over Payne Tech Friday in the first round of a holiday tournament hosted by Lincoln High School.

Meghan Lamanna finished with 12 points, six steals, four assists and four rebounds for the Pioneers (3-0), who opened an 18-6 lead after one quarter.

Lindsay Kinum had 10 points and six steals and Amy Maurer eight points, five steals and four rebounds for New Providence, which will play Holmdel at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Lincoln Tournament final.
