NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ -- Senior defender Nicole Darling returned for her fourth season on the Pioneer Lacrosse team.

"Nicole is the youngest of three siblings (Kristen, 2011; Ashley, 2015), who I have had the pleasure to coach while at New Providence High School," said New Providence girls lacrosse coach Jennifer Henry. "Nicole has been a leader and tremendous player on our defense since freshman year.  She has always been a team player, willing to do whatever it took to help us win, and a leader, communicating her thoughts and ideas to strengthen our team.  She has sent a high standard as a team player for our team and helped set the program up for more success in the future.  I will miss Nicole's defensive tenacity, poise, respectfulness, and dependability for many years to come.  I am confident she will go on to do great things and make an impact."

A favorite high school highlight for Darling was scoring the winning goal to beat Kent Place (18-17) three minutes into overtime. The Pioneers went on to beat Kent Place (17-16) for the second time to advance to the UCT semifinals.
