NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ -- New Providence softball coach Jill Fischman has a message for her seven seniors.

"These seven young ladies have been a pleasure to coach over the past four years, and we are disappointed we didn’t get to experience their senior season together," said Fischman. "I don’t think I have coached a group that gives back to their community more than this senior class. They are all extremely unselfish, hardworking and trustworthy. They truly are the personality of our team and have bonded this group together. They are great role models, leaving a lasting legacy for the younger generation of New Providence Pioneers. We will miss them greatly."

Senior outfielder Kylie Burton would have played her fourth year on varsity. She is a great teammate who always looks out for her fellow Pioneer, said Fischman. "She also has a wonderful sense of humor always keeping us chuckling throughout the season. Kylie is always busy throughout the community and school and I know she will continue that as she moves onto college."
