CRANFORD - At Tuesday night's Township Committee Meeting, the Commissioners issued a proclamation declaring June as Pride Month.
Ms. Ms. Nikki Savino Mulcahy of Cranford High School and the Cranford High School Diversity Council presented Mayor Patrick Giblin a Pride Flag which he said he would give to the Department of Public Works to hang in front of Town Hall Wednesday morning.
The rainbow flag reflects the diversity and solidarity of the LGBTQ Community worldwide. Each color of the flag has its own meaning.
Red = Life
Orange = Healing
Yellow = Sunlight
Green = Nature
Blue = Harmony
Violet = Spirit
Cranford becomes the eighth town in Union County to fly a Pride Flag. This past weekend, a rainbow flag flew high once again at the Union County Courthouse in Support of LGBTQ Pride Month.
