Delgado, and graduate from Kean University in Union Township, enlisted from the Newark Recruiting Station as Signal Support Systems Specialist on July 2009. He has served in numerous assignments and was deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After redeploying Delgado, attended the highly-competitive Officer Candidate School and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in September 2013.

Delgado comes to the U.S. Army Newark Recruiting Company from Fort Stewart Georgia. Soon after, he deployed as part of a Regionally Aligned Forces mission to the Republic of Korea. After his redeployment, Delgado was selected to serve as Brigade Signal Company Commander for C Company 10th Engineer Battalion.

“It was only 11 years ago I sat down with my recruiter at the Newark Recruiting Station,” Delgado said. “My recruiter guided me throughout the enlistment process, and provided relevant information regarding career progression, educational benefits, as well as health benefits within the U.S. Army. It is an honor and pleasure to be working alongside my soldiers here at home.”

The mission of the U.S. Army Mid-Atlantic Recruiting Battalion is to promote the Army and meet recruiting goals by identifying committed young people.
