Newark, NJ—Two Newark men were arrested Thursday for illegal dumping of sheetrock, a toilet and other materials, according to Newark Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose.
Jose Penadeluna, 39, and Wilson Abreu, 44, both of Newark, were discovered by members of the Illegal Dumping Task Force at approximately 12:20 a.m. arriving in a dark pickup truck in the area of North 13th and Park Avenues in Newark.
Penadeluna, who was driving the vehicle, exited the vehicle and began throwing several black garbage bags and other household materials onto the street.
Upon becoming aware of police presence, Penadeluna fled on foot but was immediately apprehended and arrested along with his passenger, Abreu.
