Political Science & Law Salon Series: Brigid Harrison in Conversation with Modia Butler

With the 2020 Presidential race in full swing, the many facets of the election – polling, political parties, campaigns and the roles of interest groups – will take center stage at Montclair State University in a series of salon-style conversations hosted by Brigid Callahan Harrison, professor of Political Science and Law.

Mo Butler is a highly respected public affairs expert with extensive experience in government relations, political campaigns, and strategic communications in New Jersey and Washington, D.C. Prior to joining Mercury Public Affairs, Butler served as the Chief of Staff to United States Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ). In that capacity, Butler was responsible for overseeing the Senator’s state operations and advised the Senator on national and state affairs. Under Butler’s leadership, the Senate office helped jumpstart the Gateway Project, secured funding for Sandy relief to rebuild New Jersey’s shore line and led historic sentencing reform efforts.

This event is co-sponsored by the Department of Political Science and Law, the College of Humanities & Social Sciences, The College of the Arts, the School of Communication and Media, and the Center for Student Involvement, the Political Science Club, College Republicans, & College Democrats at Montclair State University & InsiderNJ.
