NEWARK, NJ - One Powerball lottery ticket that was sold at a local convenience store matched enough numbers during last night’s drawing to win $50,000.
Clinton News, located at 31 Clinton St., sold the winning ticket. Four of the five white balls and the Powerball were matched for the third-tier prize.
The winning numbers were 12, 21, 23, 39 and 67. The Red Power Ball number was 06.
Lottery Acting Executive Director James Carey said about 23,250 other players took home an estimated $144,503 in prizes, which ranged from just $4 to $400.
The Powerball jackpot will now roll to $101 million for the next drawing, which will be held April 13 at 10:59 p.m. The drawing may be viewed on WABC-TV or WTXF stations.
