MONTCLAIR, NJ - A male trespasser was struck in Montclair sometime around 7:30pm on Monday, in the area just before the Walnut Street Station. 

The train was headed toward Lake Hopatcong.

First responders arrived quickly at the scene to assist in lifesaving efforts. Though badly injured, the male was responsive and moving his toes at the scene and was transported to a hospital.

NJ Transit officials could not be reached for comment at the time of publication.
