NEWARK, NJ — IHOP Newark will host their annual “Breakfast for Dinner” event on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 6 p.m., where they welcome the city’s families in need for a free holiday meal.
The Newark IHOP is located on 109 Bergen St. Owner Adenah Bayoh, president and CEO of Adenah Bayoh & Companies, and other community leaders will help with serving duties.
“It is one of the great privileges of my life to give back to my hometown of Newark, especially during the holiday season," Bayoh said. "This community gave me so much growing up and continues to support me and my IHOP Newark team."
“I am honored to be able to provide a space for Newark families to celebrate the holidays over warm food with their loved ones," she said.
Since beginning “Breakfast for Dinner” six years ago at IHOP Irvington, Bayoh has expanded the event to her other IHOP locations in Paterson and Newark. Altogether, this event serves more than 750 families annually.
“This event couldn’t be a success without the help of my neighbors and community leaders who help raise awareness for it. They donate time from their already busy schedules to give back to Newark’s families to help make this event a success, and I couldn’t be more grateful,” Bayoh said.
This year, Bayoh expects to feed more than 250 families at IHOP Newark. She will also give away books to the children.
