NEWTON, NJ—The 14th Annual Taste of Newton festival will take place on Monday, September 21 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Spring Street.
Every year this festival is held on Spring Street as a way to kick off the fall season and to give restaurants and culinary businesses the opportunity to showcase some of their talents through samples of their cuisines.
Live music that will fill Spring Street for the attendees and vendors to listen, dance and enjoy. In 2014, hundreds of people attended the event taking advantage of the opportunity to see what the local restaurants had to offer.
Various vendors will provide sampling from their menus. Beer, wine and mixed drinks will be available for purchase throughout the night.
This event’s continued popularity helps raise Newton resident's awareness of the vast array of eating establishments that are right here in town. Taste of Newton is sponsored by the Greater Newton Chamber of Commerce.
The proceeds from this event help to fund scholarship programs sponsored by the GNCC. Two of the programs include culinary scholarships for deserving students who wish to further their education in the food industry.
