Sparta Historical Society invites all to check out vintage cars that will be on display as part of its fifth car show.   This year’s theme is “Vintage Fire Vehicles”. The car show will take place 11am – 3pm, Sunday, October 25, 2020 in the parking lot of Sparta Middle School at 336 Main Street.   Admission is free.   Due to COVID restrictions, Masks, social distancing and sign in information are required and will be monitored!

If the past is an indicator, there will be both antique and classic cars at the show.  Although no judging or trophies will be given away, the popular “People’s Choice” award will be back for attendees to vote for their favorite auto.

The Van Kirk Homestead Museum will be closed but our carriage barn with our transportation exhibit will be open.  For those who wish to visit, its fall exhibit called “Thomas Alva Edison:  The Person, The Vision, His Genius” is by appointment only with loans from the Menlo Park Edison History Center, The Edison Foundation and private collections.   Visit www.vankirkmuseum.org for your free tickets for 2nd & 4th Sunday tours.  If another day is better for your schedule, call 973-459-8221 at week in advance with a few options to be chosen.
