NEWTON, NJ – It was another successful outing for the Newton High School boys soccer team when they hosted Lenape Valley on Monday 4-0, finding the net twice in each half.

Jefferson Argandona -Mecias had two goals, with Johnny Costa and David Crowley each adding one.  Crowley also had two assists.

Nick Daschko and Jake DeJuca each contributed with an assist.

Newton’s goalies split time in the net.  Sam Miller stopping five shots and James McMahon grabbing one. 

The Braves are now 12-2 for the season as they prepare to host Kittatinny on Wednesday afternoon.  They will also play in the semifinal round of the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex tournament on Saturday against Hunterdon Central.  The 11 a.m. game will be played on Newton’s home turf.
