NEWTON, NJ—The children of Tiny Town Preschool, located in Sparta,  learned about the season of Thanksgiving, when they participated in Pass-It-Along’s Family Volunteer Day.

The event, which was originally started by Points of Light, an affiliate partner of Pass-It-Along, who was created in 2001, began as a festive way to start the holiday season.

For the past five years, the students and families at Tiny Town Preschool have been contributing to Pass-It-Along’s event.

This year the preschool and pre-k students created festive holiday cards and decorated a large box to transport the food they collected.

The students, with the help of their teachers and families, were able to collect enough food to provide a family of 12 with an entire Thanksgiving meal, which includes a turkey and all the fixings.
