Amos 5:24

These words of the prophet Amos weave together the Biblical mandates for the inner work of prayer with the outward work of justice.  In response to God’s call, the Sparta United Methodist Church will be holding a Drive-through Prayer Vigil at the church on Friday, June 12th from 7 to 9 p.m.  to lift up our communal prayers for peace and understanding for God’s people in this time of hurt and pain that so many are experiencing across our nation and globally, that together we might create a new way that is just and life-giving for all of God's people.

You are invited to come to the church, light a candle and leave your written prayer on a large blackboard that will be outside the building.  All participants are asked to maintain proper social distancing, to wear masks when they are out of their cars, and to return to their cars as soon as possible to allow others to also leave their prayers and light their prayer candles.
