SPARTA, NJ – The Sparta Fourth of July parade, presented by the Sparta Elks, will be held on July 4 at 10 a.m.  The parade will process along East Shore Trail through White Deer Plaza and up Mohawk Avenue.  It will end at the Sparta Public Library.

The Lake Mohawk Ski Hawks will perform their water skiing show after the parade on Lake Mohawk. 

Later that evening, the Lake Mohawk Country Club will sponsor a fireworks display beginning at 9 p.m. on Monday, July 4.  The rain date for the fireworks is July 5.  

Also Monday, July 4 there will be no garbage or recycling collection.  Sparta residents who have Monday and Thursday garbage pick up the holiday collection date is Thursday, July 7.  Sparta residents who have Monday recycling pick up, the holiday collection date is Tuesday, July 5.
