NEWTON, NJ – Halsted Middle School Players are pleased to announce they will be presenting “The Music Man, Jr.” on Thursday, April 6 at 7 p.m. Friday, April 7 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 8 at 2 p.m.

The Music Man, Jr., is based on the Tony-Award winning Broadway play written by Meredith Willson with Franklin Lacey.  The story follows the Master showman Harold Hill, who arrives in River City, Iowa and he's got "seventy-six trombones" in tow. Can Marian, the town librarian, resist his powerful allure?  Come join the fun and find out!

This junior version of the classic musical comedy will feature the talents of nearly 70 Halsted Middle School students and is sure to entertain children and adults alike!  

Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the Box Office 30 minutes before each show. Meredith Willson’s The Music Man JR. is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International, New York, NY.
