TAPinto.net is pleased to announce it has franchised its Newton, New Jersey site to  TAPintoSparta.net's publisher and longtime Sparta resident and volunteer, Jennifer Dericks.

Jennifer Dericks will be working with content partner and lifelong Newton resident Danielle Francisco. Danielle Francisco grew up in Newton, with her three sisters, attending the Newton public schools. At Newton High School she was the soccer goalie for four years and played basketball for two. She sang with the Madrigal choir, was involved with Future Farmers of America and the floral part of the Agricultural shop.

Danielle Francisco attended Seton Hall in South Orange, NJ where she majored in Journalism, graduating a semester early in Dec 2013. At Seton Hall she was in the Communications honor society and the Press club, the honor society for journalism. Danielle Francisco was also in Alpha Sigma Tau sorority on campus. She speaks three languages including English, Spanish and Italian.

"I am excited to be able to bring the local news to the residents of Newton," said Francisco. "I hope they will look to TAP into Newton as their reliable source for all things Newton."

Since moving to Sparta with her husband and four sons 13 years ago, Jennifer Dericks has been a tireless volunteer.   She continued her role as Den Leader and then Committee Chair of Cub Scout Pack 150, brought her award winning Volunteer Involvement Program to Alpine School and became active in the PTOs.  At Sparta High School, Jennifer has been the PSTO Treasurer for nine years, annually coordinates the Senior Academic Awards dinner, and created the Alumni Brunch.  As Chairwoman of the GOTV committee she helped lead the community to approve the referendum to rebuild the high school.  She was a founding member of the Sparta Education Foundation.  During her term on the Sparta Board of Education she spent a year as Vice President and two as President, during which time she oversaw the reconstruction of Sparta High School.

Jennifer has also been a certified Kundalini Yoga Instructor for nine years teaching privately and for the Sparta Recreation Department.  She is a Deacon and Sunday School teacher at Packanack Community Church in Wayne where she grew up.

Jennifer graduated from Douglass College, Rutgers University with a BA in Communications; Public Relations and Advertising.
