Representatives from the Knights of Columbus, Council 5410, Flanders, NJ, presented a check for over $3100, for the benefit of Joey Johnson. Joey is a 2-½ old child diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. The presentation was made at the Stanhope House, which was also sponsoring a fund raising event to assist the Johnson Family, Joe and Michelle,  with the medical expenses for their son Joey. The Knights of Columbus co-ordinated their contribution along with the generosity of the parishioners of St Lawrence the Martyr Church in Chester. Joe Johnson, the child’s father is a former Marine and a Police officer from Stanhope. The Knights of Columbus is the largest Catholic Men’s Fraternal, Charitable and Beneficial organization, with over 1.8 million members worldwide.
