NEWTON, NJ – Mackenzie Genung, USA National Miss Role Model and Danielle Penny, Miss Heart of America NJ State Queen, held a fundraiser for two local pantries this month. The food drive benefitted the food pantry at The Roman Catholic Community of Saint Joseph’s church and the Social Services’ Sussex County Food Pantry.
When Mackenzie was eight, she started an organization called Everyone's Helping Hands. Mackenzie named her organization this because she wanted everyone to help her, help others. Mackenzie later asked Danielle to join as a co-founder when she saw Danielle's passion for helping others as well .
Everyone's Helping Hands has held two fundraisers for the Wantage Animal Pound, a winter drive for Project Self Sufficiency, a school supply fundraiser for Family Intervention Services, resulting in 31 completely filled book bags, a school supply fundraiser for Ginnie's House, purchasing well over 275 items and most recently the food drive.
Mackenzie and Danielle are currently collecting gently used coats and winter items for Pass It Along in Sparta. Please like their Facebook Page - Everyone's Helping Hands - for drop off locations or to schedule a pick up.
Mackenzie and Danielle also both volunteer at many different events and have modeled in multiple fashion shows benefiting the Children's Miracle Network.
