On Monday, November 4, NAMI Sussex will host “A Mindfulness Experience,” presented by Debra M. Hollinrake, C.LAC, teacher and practitioner from The Tree of Health Center, LLC, in Newton. The program will be held at Bridgeway, 93 Stickles Pond Rd. in Newton from 7:00-8:30 p.m. It is free and open to the public. Advance registration is not required.
Debra will gently guide the audience to understand the importance of breath and demonstrate how to breathe optimally. She will help attendees gain a clear idea of what mindfulness is, why our senses are the “golden keys,” and how to use them to practice mindfulness in everyday life. The final portion of the experience will offer an explanation of how and why mindfulness is a profound tool for emotional and physical healing, and examples of how to use mindfulness meditation for well-being. The evening will end with a guided mindful meditation and a sharing space for all who wish to participate.
