NEWTON, NJ—The Newton Police Department administered Narcan to a Clinton Street resident after responding to a call about a suspected overdose.
On March 2 around 6:15 p.m. they went to the apartment where they found a 58-year-old woman who was unconscious. She was in respiratory distress and appeared to have overdosed on an opiate, according to police.
She was transported to the Newton Medical Center by Atlantic EMS and St. Clare's paramedics according to police.
