NEWTON, NJ – Newton area alumni have earned accolades and degrees from their college and university campuses.

Catherine Dey has earned bachelor of arts degree in anthropology from the University of Vermont in Burlington. 

Zachary Petonak has earned a masters of science degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania.

Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pennsylvania has announced Steven Chadwick majoring in music-audio and music production, Madeline Teitsma majoring in music education and music, Emily Weltner majoring in exercise science and Allison Giovanetti majoring in music education have been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2018 semester. 

Samuel Novoa has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2018 semester at Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. 

Gregory Peil has graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor of science in marketing from Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. 

Madeline Russell has graduated from the Business Leadership Honors Program, magna cum laude with a degree in accounting from the University of Scranton, in Pennsylvania.  Russell is a member of the university’s Special Jesuit Liberal Arts program. 

East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania has announce several area alumni have earned dean’s list honors;  Caitlin Clark a social work major, Ashley Collins and early childhood education major, Richard Fahsbender an exercise science major, Rosangela Franco a Spanish major, Vincent Franco a biology major, Colette Hansen an early childhood education major, Melanie La Russo an early childhood education major, Sarah Mackey a special education/early child major, Christian Silva and exercise science major, Kristin Trusa a physical education teacher major and Mary Ullmann a social work major.

John Grabovetz, an electrical construction technology student at Northhampton Communtiy College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2018 semester.

The University of New Hampshire in Durham has announced Kari Murnane has graduated with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. 

Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina has announced Frank Orlando a marine science major, Nicole Rafferty an accounting major and Kennedy Smith an intelligence and national security studies major have been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2018. Kelsey Kretsch, a management pre-major has been named to the president’s list with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Erik Raser has been named to the president’s list at James Madison University in Harrisburg, Virginia for the spring 2018 semester.  Raser is pursuing a degree in integrated science and technology.
