Newton Area Students Earn Accolades on Campus

NEWTON, NJ - Newton area students earn recognition from their colleges.

Andrew Cooney has been named to the dean’s list at Loyola University Maryland for the spring 2017 semester. 

SUNY New Paltz has announced Nina Durso and Colleen Minkewicz have been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2017 semester.

David Ryan has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2017 semester at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. 

Ithaca College has named Jonathan Couce and Shannon Davis to the dean’s list for the spring 2017 semester.

Hailey Reczka has earned placement on the dean’s list with distinction for the spring 2017 semester at Colgate University.  Reczka had to maintain an GPA of 3.6 or higher for the semester for the honor.

Antonia Gobo was one of six students from Wilkes University to travel to Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity 58 Grand Council Convention in Naples Florida.  The university’s chapter was named a Top Performing Chapter for the 2016-2017 school year.

Michael Palmisano will begin his college studies at Janes Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia for the fall 2017 semester.  He intends to pursue a degree in management.

Sparta High School Alumnus Graduates from Marine Corp Boot Camp

September 10, 2017

SPARTA, NJ - Sparta High School alumnus recently graduated from boot camp at the Marine Corp Recruiting Depot in Parris Island, South Carolina.  Nicholas Macierowski completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training on August 18.

Macierowski earned the title Expert Marksman and was an artist for his Platoon 2058.

RANDOLPH, NJ – Radiography students from the Class of 2017 at County College of Morris (CCM) recently obtained a 100-percent pass rate on the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) exam.
