NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School boys baseball team lost 6-3 against Montville when they played them away on Friday.

Jimmy McKeown led the Braves in runs batted in, bringing in two RBIs during his two at bats where he went 1-for-2.

Alex Stone went 2-for-4 with an RBI as well. Chase Cramer went 1-for-4 with a stolen base, Jake Tarabokija went 3-for-4 scoring one run, and Dylan Testa went 2-for-3 at bat.

There were two pitchers for Newton, Billy Carson and Testa. Carson pitched one inning.  Testa went for five innings, allowing six runs on eight hits, with three errors. He walked one, struck out one and hit one batter.

The Newton High School boys baseball team moved their record to 5-2 overall and 1-0 in their conference league. The look to take on Blair away on Monday, April 23, beginning at 4:15 p.m.
