NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School baseball continued their winning streak beating Kittatinny 8-5 away on Wednesday.
Aldo Vallorosi drove in three runs and went 2-for-3,leading the Braves in their victory over Kittatinny
Following closely to Vallorosi was Michael Luzzi, driving in two runs and Luke Young driving in one. Luzzi went 2-for-3 with a triple and scored one run himself, while Young went 2-for-5.
Jake Tarabokija hit a double during his three at bats, going 2-for-3 and scoring two. Chase Cramer went 1-for-3 and scored one run for Newton.
Dylan Testa and Bully Carson shared time on the mound for the Braves. Testa started, throwing 62 pitches in his four innings.
Testa struck out one, walked one and allowed three runs on six hits, with three errors. Carson, who threw 37 pitches in the last three innings, closed for the Braves, striking out two and allowing two runs on four hits, with two errors.
The Newton High School baseball team is now 11-1 overall, leading the NJAC-Freedom league 2-0. The will take on Hackettstown on Friday, away beginning at 4 p.m.
