NEWTON, NJ—The Newton Boys Basketball team continued their winning streak when the beat Belvidere 62-44 on Tuesday, Dec. 22 when they played them away at Belvidere.

Charlie Maker is on fire this season as he once again led the Braves with points, contributing 14. He had seven 2-pointers, 11 rebounds, three assists, four steals, and two blocks.

Jason Heter followed Maker, contributing a total of 10 points for the Braves. He had four 2-points, two foul shots, and three rebounds.

Tim O’Brien contributed nine points for the Braves and Samir Wheeler contributed eight points. Chase Cramer and Luke Young both had six points, Andrew Cooney had five points, and Jake Tarabokjia contributed four points to the score.

Overall, the boys’ record is 3-0 and their conference division record is 1-0. Their next game is Wednesday, Dec. 30 at Madison High School at noon.
