NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School Boys Basketball team lost against Morris Knolls 66-57, when they played them home on Thursday, January 12.
Jason Heter led the Braves in points against Morris Knolls, contributing 32 to the scoreboard. He made 12 2-pointers, one 3-pointers, and five foul shots.
Charlie Maker was the Brave with the second highest points in the game, contributing 12, with six 2-pointers.
Collin Kelly and Hunter Grave de Peralta each scored four points, Luke Young scored three, and Jake Tarabokija scored two.
Defensively, the Braves had 21 rebounds, 12 assists, eight steals, and three blocks. Offensively, they made 21 2-pointers, two 3-pointers, and nine foul shots.
The Braves’ record this far this season is 9-3 overall and 2-0 in the conference division. They will go on to play Mount Olive away on Thursday, January 19, beginning at 7 p.m.
