NEWTON, NJ—The Newton Boys basketball team dominated Lenape Valley 53-27 when they played them away on Friday.
The Braves set the tone in the first half against the patriots, going into halftime with an eight-point lead.
Aaron Fantasia was the top scorer putting up four 2-pointers and three 3-pointers for a total of 17 points. Fantasia, with 286 points, is inching closer to the 300 point milestone. Brian McKeown contributed 10 points, moving to 170 points for the season. JD Heller put up seven points, with 151 points for the season so far.
Donovan Thomas, Jack Young, and Pasquale Festa all added points to the Braves’ victory.
The Newton High School boys basketball team’s overall record is now 11-4 and their NJAC division record is 9-2. The Braves will host Kittatinny on Tuesday, January 28 beginning at 7 p.m.
