NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School boys basketball team added another win to their record when they beat Jefferson 73-60, when they played them home on Tuesday.
“It was a nice win against Jefferson,” head coach Dirk Kelly said. “We led by as many as 18 in the 4th quarter, had great man to man defense which turned the game.
Jake Tarabokija led in scoring with 22 points, followed by Luismy Arias with 17, Jacob Heller with 12, Luke Young with 11, Thomas Salomon with five, Troy Babcock with four, and Alex Rivas with two.
“Tarabokija, Arias and Young played well offensively, while the defense was led by Salomon, Arias and Young”, Kelly said.
