NEWTON, NJ—The Newton Boys Basketball team added another win to their record, when they beat Lenape Valley, 69-49 on Tuesday, Jan. 19.

Patrick O’Doherty led the Braves in points, putting 16 points on the scoreboard. He made two 2-pointers and four 3-pointers.

Samir Wheeler and Jason Heter each contributed 14 points for the Braves. Wheeler made three 2-pointers, two 3-pointers and two foul shots. Heter has seven two point buckets.

Charlie Maker contributed 10 points to the score, making five 2-pointers. Andrew Cooney had six points, making two 2-pointers and two foul shots.

Overall, the Braves made 22 2-pointers, seven 3-pointers, and four foul shots. They also had 16 rebounds, 18 assists, nine steals, and one block throughout the game.

The Boys’ record is 8-1 overall and their conference-division record is 3-0.
