NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School Boys Lacrosse team won their second game in a row 10-6, when they hosted North Warren in the second game of the season on Monday, April 3.

Lead scorers for the Braves included Kyle and Ryan Vandenberg, Giovanni Bevacqua and Grant Parker, who each contributed two goals apiece.

PJ Russell and Logan Kellenberger each contributed one goal. Ryan VAndenberg led in assists with three, followed by Kyle Vandenberg and Parker with two.

Tyler Sevean, goalkeeper for the Newton Braves, had 11 saves against North Warren’s offense.

Tim Houilihan won 15 face-offs against North Warren.

The Braves continue on in their season now with a 2-0 record. They will host Kittatinny in a night game on Friday, April 6, under the lights on Newton’s Turf Field, beginning at 7 p.m.
