NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School boys lacrosse team swept Parsippany, when they played them home on Tuesday and won 17-4.
PJ Russell led the Braves in their victory over Parsippany, by scoring four goals. He had one assist and picked up six ground balls.
The Vandenberg brothers, Kyle and Ryan each scored three goals, along with Logan Kellenberger. Both Vandenbergs had two assists and Kellenberger had one.
Kyle grabbed four ground balls, Kellenberger had five, and Ryan led the team by getting to 10 ground balls against Parsippany. Nicholas Daschko was runner up to Ryan with nine ground balls.
Matt Krawchuk, Grant Parker, Tim Houliohan, and Mason Leen each scored one goal. Krawchuk and Parker had two groundballs, while Houliohan had four and Leen had one.
Tyler Sevean, goalkeeper for the Braves, had four saves against Parsippany’s offense.
The Newton High School boys Lacrosse team is 4-1 overall and 3-0 in their league. They move forward in the season to host High Point on Wednesday, April 19, beginning at 11 a.m.
