NEWTON, NJ—The Newton High School boys lacrosse team won their third straight game 8-7, playing home under the lights, against Kittatinny.
Lead Scorers for the Braves included Kyle Vandenberg and Logan Kellenberger with two goals apiece.
PJ Russell, Ryan Vandenberg, Matt Krawchuk, and Giovanni Bevacqua each contributed one goal. Ryan led in assists with two, followed by Russell and Krawchuk with one each.
Tyler Sevean, goalkeeper for the Newton Braves, had eight saves against Kittatinny’s offense.
Defensively Nick Daschko and Nick Krawchuck, got seven ground balls a piece throughout the game.
The Braves continue on in their season now with a 3-0 record. They will play away against Morris Hills on Saturday, April 8, beginning at 2 p.m.
